Update (jan. 2014):
I have put new images, and they are all probably more easy to download on your computer from here:
https://www.dropbox.com/sh/clie2yisubly4kb/D-cSJisazC
Use the link in the top of the screen to download all the images in one ZIP file.
You
can also compare the DxO processed images to the original ones
("Originales" subdirectory). In some cases the difference is really
stunning!
Added camera: compact Canon SX280 HS, bridge Panasonic
Lumix FZ150 (but images are bad, probably the sun was shinning on the
lens)
In this directory, some pictures of the same object, from exactly the same place, with different cameras and lenses:
Nikkor 300mm F/4 AFS (sometimes with Kenko x1.4 converter which gives a 420mm)
Nikkor 70-300
Sigma 120-400 OS
Sigma 50-500 OS
And also compacts (Panasonic TZ7, TZ10) and bridge (Canon SX40 HS).
The
pictures are not taken the same day => luminosity and contrast
change between sequences => images are not directly comparable.
If
you want to identify exactly the camera and the lens, read the metadata
inside the files. The best program to do that is probably PhotoME (you will even get the serial numbers of the material in some cases).
Pictures whose name contains "DX" are processed with DxO.
There is also a picture taken with an old Sigma 400mm F/5.6 lens. It is plenty of chromatic aberrations. Look how DxO can improve it
(you have to put the mouse cursor on the picture and wait a little bit
to see the corrected image. Then, you flip between the original and the
corrected image by putting the mouse cursor in / out the picture).
Pictures are here.
